On Monday, October 10th 2011, Jean-Marc Bianchi, CEO of Kerneos and Jean-Marc Jary, the Director of Dunkirk plant, unveiled the new briquetting line of the Dunkirk plant in the presence of Michel Delebarre, Former Minister of State, Senator and Mayor of Dunkirk, President of the Urban Community of Dunkirk.
The objective of this new installation is to diversify the sources of raw materials and thereby to secure and develop the production of the Dunkirk plant. This new equipment enables Kerneos to replace block bauxites by fine bauxites (natural or recycled) which are agglomerated before introduction in melting furnaces. This investment of 4 millions euro allows Kerneos to address the challenge of the sources of raw materials and to secure a high quality supply for its customers.
