Kerneos builds a new R&D centre in China

On September 15th 2011, Kerneos celebrated the laying of the foundation stone of the future Research & Development Centre in Tianjin in China.

Jean-Marc Bianchi, Chief Executive Officer of Kerneos, and Jean-Yves Laguillez, Managing Director of Kerneos China, unveiled the future KDCC (Kerneos Development Centre – China) in the presence of Mr He Shushan, Chairman of the Administrative Commission of TEDA and Mr Land Dong, Deputy Director of TEDA. At the same time the Tianjin plant team celebrated the 3000th day without an accident which has been achieved as a result of their implication and commitment to safety. The construction of the KDCC, next to the Tianjin plant, will begin before the end of the year for completion due by 2013. KDCC is a key resource in the global network of Kerneos R&D laboratories and will allow Kerneos China to continue to develop new products for the refractory market and in particular for China and the Asia Pacific Zone. It will be also provide costumer training, product demonstrations and a means to promote new technologies for the refractory market.
