23-11-2009 - Refractory Applications

The International Colloquium of Refractories, which is held every year in Aachen in Germany, gathers the main actors of the refractory industry and is the opportunity for a wide range of technical and commercial discussions.

More than 60 technical presentations will be given during 2 days, from Wednesday, 8th till Thursday, September 9th, 2010. Kerneos will present three papers this year focussed on new developments, namely:

- NEW SOLUTIONS TO INCREASE THE SHELF-LIFE OF LOW CEMENT CASTABLES,
by Chris Parr, Technical Marketing Manager

- STRONGER BONDS FOR MONOLITHIC CASTABLES THROUGH SURFACE REACTIVE CALCIUM ALUMINATE AGGREGATES,
by Christoph Wöhrmeyer, Technical Developer Germany, Eastern Europe and India

- IMPROVED ADDITIVES FOR HIGH PURITY REDUCED CEMENT CASTABLE SYSTEMS,
by Genine Assis, Technical Developer Western Europe

This event is also the opportunity for us to meet exhibitors of raw materials and refractory producers and to measure the changes expected in year 2011.

This 53rd edition will gather more than 300 participants, 20 exhibitors and 15 nationalities. Kerneos will welcome visitors to its hospitality suite in the entrance hall and will present its lastest innovations.
