The SECAR® range is used as a principle binder in high temperature applications. The cements of this line have varying alumina content (from 40 to 80%), which are directly related to their maximum handling temperatures and therefore optimum operating conditions.
The SECAR® range is used in applications and refractory concretes which combines mechanical performance levels with easy application: conventional concrete, concrete with low cement content, even extra low cement content. This type of concrete may be sprayed or poured by vibration or self-levelling.
The SECAR® range of cements is fully compatible with the different refractory aggregates, new generation superplasticizers as well as other fillers and additives.
The “classic” SECAR® range comprises SECAR® 51, SECAR® 71, SECAR® 712, and SECAR® 80 and recently formulated binders have been added as well, combining the recognized quality level and know-how. For years now these products have been listed among the latest technological and scientific breakthroughs. Today, this line of “SECAR® Plus” products offers two products in its line, SECAR Plenium® and SECAR Xeniom®.
Now a range of dispersants for refractory concrete is also available in addition to the line of cements and binders, which is the result of combined research and development between Peramin and Kerneos.
ALAG® aggregate completes the SECAR® range. It is specially adapted to refractory or peri-refractory concrete where a large resistance to abrasion is particularly sought after.
In addition, CIMENT FONDU® is widely known as the cement of reference for dense and insulating concretes in less extreme applications.
SECAR® range is available on all continents:
SECAR® 51: Cement with average alumina content, recommended for refractory concrete exposed to high abrasion,
SECAR® 71: Cement with high alumina content used in refractory concrete with low cement content, widely recognized for the flexibility it allows in the formulation process,
SECAR® 712: represents the new generation of SECAR® 71 with a new embedded functionality: time stability. As a result, the shelf life of low cement castable is significantly improved and performance remains stable over time.
SECAR® 80: Cement with a very high alumina content, specifically used where resistance to extreme temperature, abrasion and corrosion is required,
SECAR Plenium®: Binder with a very high alumina content, designed for refractory concrete exposed to extreme conditions and which is easy to use in accordance with the needs of its users,
SECAR Xeniom® : Binder with very high alumina content compatible with many pure or slightly less pure raw materials, guaranteeing high performance in its use and mechanical properties.
